I lead the award-winning Center for Positive Organizations at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. The Center helps leaders build high-performing organizations that bring out the best in people through ground-breaking research, educational programs, and organizational partnerships.
I co-developed and teach the MBA course here on Social Intrapreneurship: creating positive change without authority. For this, The class received the Ideas Worth Teaching Award for excellence in business education from The Aspen Institute’s Business and Society Program. I am co-author of Changing Your Company From the Inside Out (Harvard Business Review Press).
I am a regular keynote speaker at conferences, and develop and lead custom Executive Education programs for organizations. My work has been featured by outlets including Fast Company, Inc., Forbes, CBS, The Huffington Post, and Talent Management Magazine.
My wife Katy and I live in Ann Arbor, MI, with our dog and two cats. We are incredibly excited about meeting our first child, due in October. Brought up in northwest England, I am a passionate soccer (Real Football) fan.
I proudly serve as Vice President of the Board of Directors of The Neutral Zone, a diverse, youth-driven teen center dedicated to promoting personal growth through artistic expression, community leadership, and the exchange of ideas.
